Over 1000 conifer leaf samples recorded for endophyte study!
August 31, 2020
From the time of my postdoc, I've been collecting conifer leaves to study the fungal endophytes therein. Mainly because I was fascinated by Lophodermium spp. No more field sampling planned for the foreseeable future, but we have so many samples and tons of data now. Grateful for all the international collaborators and NSF for funding last year's trips. We will be launching a new Shiny app soon on accessing the data, but for now, you can find all of our samples at a Symbiota portal managed by UCSB's CCBER: https://symbiota.ccber.ucsb.edu/collections/misc/collprofiles.php?collid=9
